in a bubble

Soap, ink and paper collide to produce these permanent renderings of that most ephemeral entity: the soap bubble. Each work shows the trace of an instant, a moment lost to time but not, entirely, to the eye. In a Bubble is an experiment and an exercise in surrender all at once, for the circumstances of creation can only be controlled so much: ink, paper and process can be selected, but the result is never certain and always unique. The works are about chance, about unpredictability and surprise – and they are about delight, the delight that comes from having recorded something right before it vanished into thin air.
