Drawing Machine prints

These drawings are what happens when a machine with a mind of its own is given a free mandate. They are authored by the Drawing Machine that was made by cobbling together discarded desktop printers, a spinning wheel and a cast-away chair. When the machine is fed ink and paper, and its settings are adjusted, it produces drawings that are never predictable and always unique. Depending on the viewer, they might call to mind starry nights, thunder and lightning, children’s pencillings or computer-generated spirals, or something else entirely. In black and white they show the traces of a collaboration between a human and a machine, and so is their ultimate meaning.
